Metro's Magic over-powers Wizards
After a record was set by the Wizards this season for most games without a loss, the MetroStars come into Arrowhead ready to break that streak. After 30 minutes of domination by the Metros, KC comes back with a bad foul by Eddie Pope in the box leading to a penalty kick. Lucky in the second half a great free kick from just outside the box left Tony Meola helpless as he watched Amado Guevara's free kick fly into the back of the net, giving the Metros a 2-1 win.

After a horrible performance at the start of July Jonny Walker is back in form, after coming up big saving a penalty kick to keep the game tied. Many heroics followed with big time saves to help the Metros get the win.

Early into the game the MetroStars had full possession and it payed off when a far off cheap from Teywna Bonseu sent John Wolyniec on the run, after fighting and fighting he was able to win the ball and get a tap on it. The ball gave Cornell Glen a perfect shot in the box, nailing it home the Metros would have the early 1-0 lead.

Just over 10 minutes later a bad play from captain Eddie Pope resulted in a penalty kick for KC. Pope was pulling on Davy Arnaud's jersey in the box, and it resulted in a penalty kick. Walker was able to get a hand to the shot that went right, but could not make the save.

In the 52nd minute Bonseu was called from bringing down Francisco Gomez in the box, that would result in KC's second penalty kick of the night. One again Chris Klien stepped up to the spot, after already knowing Walker got a hand to his last one, Klien went the other way but Walker was up to the task pulling of an amazing save to keep the game level.

Later into the second half Guevara's magic would show as Glen was taken down by the box. At first it looked to be inside the box but the foul was called outside the box. A free kick was awarded from the left side. Guevara stepped up and knocked the ball over the wall and past a star-struck Tony Meola.

The game would end 2-1 for the Metros after a long game a big 90 minutes from Walker.
