Metros fall to Wizards 1-0
The MetroStars Saturday night ended in defeat once again as the Metros fell 1-0 to the KC Wizards after not capitalizing on multiple chances. A game that missed many starters for both teams was a game full of offense and little defense. Both teams had many chances, but only one goal came from it all. The MetroStars are now winless in four, here's how it happened...

The first half was all Kansas City as an early attacked started with Jack Jewsbury one on one with Jonny Walker in the box. Walker was able to cut down the angle for a shot, and stopped a certain goal.

Seconds later The Wizards had another chance of a great set piece that came soaring down into the box. Walker punched the ball but it fell at a KC player who just missed the empty goal with a shot that went high.

In the 30th minute the MetroStars finally got their chance, a shot from nowhere by Sergio Galvan Rey was saved by KC's second-string goalkeeper Bo Oshoniyi.

Just 10 minutes later a great build up from the MetroStars found a loose ball in the box, after Tenywa Bonseu sent a great pass into the box. It passed two players and no one could connect on it. Surely enough KC were able to get the ball and it sent them on their counter attack.

A 5 player build to led to The Wizard's only goal of the night after an attempted shot was saved by Walker but Josh Wolff was able to knock in the rebound giving Kansas City the lead just before halftime.

In the 50th minute Eddie Gaven made his cut backs in the box and fired off a shot, KC keeper was able to get a great save on it after being screened by his defense.

In the 62nd minute the Metros had a scare when Kenny Arena knocked back a shot that was sent into the box. Arena's kick was inches away from being a goal for KC. The MetroStars caught a break and still had life.

The 70th minute came along and just 3 minutes after Davy Arnaud rocketed a volley from outside the box, which almost found net but knocked off the face of the post.

The last Metro chance came when Fabian Taylor beat off most of The Wizards defense and was able to sneak a shot in. KC keeper came up big in the late minutes go give The Wizards their deserved win. The Metros would find themselves winless in a month.
